Can a regular mover move a piano in Sarasota?

Ask whether the crew has piano moving experience and equipment suited to your instrument and access route. Discuss stairs, doorways and placement before requesting a written estimate. Under Florida law a mover may not limit its liability below 60 cents per pound per article (s. 507.04, https://www.flsenate.gov/Laws/Statutes/2025/507.04), which may be far below a piano's value, so review valuation separately.

Useful questions: How many people will handle the piano? Will a grand be moved on its side on a padded board with the legs and lyre removed? How will the crew handle the stairs at each address? A clear, specific answer is a good sign; a vague one is a reason to keep asking.
